Supply Chain Manager

Functie

For our client, a mining and chemical multinational, we are looking for a supply chain manager Europe for their Lithium department. He or she will report to the Senior Director Supply Chain based in Shanghai, China You will work from the Belgian office in Antwerp.

The Supply Chain Manager will oversee all our logistics operations in our region, including inbound, outbound, warehousing, and trucking transport for the European region.

• Manage and supervise logistics, third party warehousing and associating services, transport.
• Define the supply chain strategy planning (short and long-term plans) for our fast-growing lithium operations in Europe.
• Engage and lead a team of 1-2 logistics coordinators.
• Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements.
• Sourcing and third-party contractors (warehouse, transport, other logistic services). Define of operational standards and procedures.
• Evaluate and control budgets and expenditures.
• Administrate future third-party toll processing operation contracts.
• Ensure logistic related (registrations, license, and regulations) compliance and regulatory guidelines followed, advise inside and outside the organization on import and export restrictions, local customs regulations, laws and procedures, tariff systems, insurance requirements, quotas, or other customs-related matters;

Jouw profiel

• Master degree with a business, chemical, marketing or logistics/supply chain background. Or equivalent by experience.
• At least 5 years international logistics experience in at least two of below fields is essentials; experience in more than two is beneficial :

Inventory control in handling and warehousing.
Imports and exports full process experience.
Ability to cargo regulation (Import, Export, Storage and Transport) and required permits and documentation knowledge.
Regular contact with Customs, Customs brokers having the possibility to get advice from those offices when needed.
Team management and supervision.
Tolling/Manufacturing chemical management experience.

• Fluent in English and Dutch. Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to travel both national and international.
• Able to work efficiently with MS Office in general and Excel/Power point in particular.
• International work and/or study experience abroad is a plus.
• Experience in ERP, especially Microsoft Dynamics AS and SAP is a plus.

• Haalbaarheidsonderzoek uitvoeren van een logistiek organisatie- of reorganisatieproject van een locatie (magazijn, opslagplaats, platform, ...) of dienst (bevoorradingen, aankopen, transport, ...)
• De logistieke strategie van een organisatie ontwikkelen of meewerken aan de ontwikkeling en toepassing ervan
• De modaliteiten voor het transport van producten organiseren, implementeren en de uitvoering controleren
• Het budget van een organisatie bepalen en opvolgen
• Stuurinstrumenten ontwikkelen voor aankoop-, bevoorradings- of verzenddiensten en locaties (platformen, opslagplaatsen, ...)
• De activiteiten van een team coördineren
